Finer hatch controls and clearer view-only states

Covers 12 August 2026 through 18 August 2026

This week’s update makes small adjustments even easier. You’ll notice smoother control over hatch scale, color codes that save reliably, more consistent arrowhead sizing, and clearer messages when editing isn’t available.

Improved Fine-tune hatch scale The scale slider now gives you greater precision for small hatch patterns.

Hatch scale sets the spacing for patterns that represent materials or surfaces.

With the new proportional scale, you get finer control over small sizes while still being able to adjust for larger patterns.

Fixed Typed colors stay applied Color codes you type now save instantly.

You can type a color code into the appearance controls to match a specific fill, line, or hatch background.

Previously, a typed color was only a preview and reverted when entering or leaving editing. Synaps now saves the color immediately once the full code is entered. This guarantees your selected color is always applied without unexpected reverts.

Improved More consistent arrowhead sizes Arrowhead styles now use a consistent sizing method.

Arrows and annotation lines can end with triangles, dots, squares, and more.

The size control now means the same thing across all styles, so changing arrowhead types keeps the size consistent.

Improved Clearer messages when editing is unavailable The editor now provides clearer reasons when you can’t edit.

If editing is unavailable, you’ll see a message explaining whether it’s due to view-only access, a lost connection, or waiting to sync.

Editing controls now follow your current permission state more reliably, so you always know what’s happening.
