Now you can combine selected papers into a single PDF, use a visible drawing grid for easier alignment, and keep objects moving straight along horizontal or vertical axes. This week’s update also makes plan resizing and SVG artwork placement more intuitive.
New
Export multiple papers as a single PDF
Easily export several papers together as one PDF, following the order you see in the Layers panel.
Papers let you organize parts of your drawing into separate sheets for printing, review, or sharing.
Now, select multiple papers and export them as a single, multi-page PDF, each sheet keeps its original size and scale. If you prefer, you can still export each paper as a separate PDF.
Simply select the papers you want, then choose the PDF option in Export. Combined output is now the default.
This release supports portrait papers and those rotated by exactly 90 degrees; other rotation angles aren’t supported yet.
New
Use a visible drawing grid
Work with a customizable visual grid behind your drawing, choose orthogonal, diagonal, isometric, or a custom angle.
Grids help you align and space elements with confidence.
You can select your preferred grid type and adjust its spacing and style from the sidebar’s Grid controls.
Deselect the drawing objects and open the Grid controls in the sidebar.
Fixed
Press Shift and move straight
Holding Shift now properly locks movement to the horizontal or vertical axis.
This helps you move objects precisely, without accidentally shifting them off alignment.
Synaps detects your dominant drag direction and constrains movement accordingly, snapping uses the same logic.
Fixed
Rooms and nested content resize together
Resizing a plan that includes rooms and nested objects now updates everything consistently.
When you select and resize multiple objects, like walls, room labels, and grouped items, their geometry adjusts together.
Room positions now support multi-object resizing. Nested objects also receive the appropriate resize updates, addressing cases where the outer group changed size while the content inside retained the wrong geometry.
Improved
Imported SVG artwork fits the canvas
SVG files you drop or paste are now automatically sized and positioned based on their actual drawing bounds.
SVG files can contain groups whose visible size differs from the file's declared dimensions.
Synaps now measures and fits imported artwork to your current view. If you import several SVGs at once, they’ll be neatly arranged around your insertion point.
