More control over measurements, copying and export

Covers 29 July 2026 through 4 August 2026

Enjoy greater flexibility with measurement precision, duplicate objects as you drag, and export selected images directly. Papers now keep their names consistent when reordered, and dimension labels remain correctly positioned during editing.

Improved Customize measurement precision for each drawing Set a drawing's units and decimal places without changing every drawing.

Measurement precision controls how many digits Synaps displays. It changes the label you read, rather than rounding the underlying geometry.

Choose between zero and four decimal places, or use the Auto setting to apply your default. Individual dimensions can override the drawing preference when a particular annotation needs a different level of detail.

Drawing-level preferences are saved per browser, just for you. They aren’t shared with your team or across devices. An individual dimension's own setting is part of the shared drawing.

New Duplicate while dragging Hold Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) while dragging to instantly place copies.

Duplicating an object lets you quickly reuse its geometry and appearance without moving the original object.

You can switch between moving and duplicating by pressing or releasing the modifier key during the drag.

New Export selected images as PNG or JPG Download image objects directly from their export controls.

Now, you can select one or more images on the canvas and export them as PNG or JPG, no need to arrange them on a paper first.

The Export section will appear when images are selected (choose PNG or JPG) and will indicate if a watermark applies to your plan.

Improved Paper names remain consistent when reordered Moving papers in your list no longer changes their generated numbers.

Each paper keeps its name and number, so you can easily track sheets across the canvas and Layers panel.

New papers get their next available number, but reordering won’t disrupt existing names.

Fixed Dimension labels stay aligned while editing When editing a dimension label, the text editor now opens exactly where you see the label on your drawing.

Dimension labels sit beside dimension lines and may have an offset from the line itself.

The editing box now aligns with the position of the drawn label. Synaps also hides the duplicate canvas text during typing, while ensuring the dimension line and arrowheads remain visible.
