Place copied objects exactly where you want them, keep your page orientation when resizing, and enjoy more dependable group locking. This update also brings smoother uploads for shared projects and a new text justification option.
New
Paste at the original position
With Paste in Place, copied objects appear exactly at their original coordinates, no more manual adjustments.
Ordinary pasting moves copied content to a new spot, but when aligning designs or moving layouts between drawings, you often want everything to stay put.
Paste in Place inserts objects with their original spacing and position intact.
You can use Paste in Place from the context menu, or by pressing Command + Option + V on Mac and Ctrl + Alt + V on Windows.
Fixed
Locked groups protect the objects inside
Selection and drawing tools now properly respect a container's lock and visibility settings.
When you lock or hide a group or paper, all the objects inside are protected too.
We’ve fixed issues where it was possible to select or edit items inside a locked group. Now, hidden containers are also ignored when placing new drawing objects, so nothing disappears into a hidden parent by accident.
Fixed
Page orientation stays correct when resizing
Changing your page size no longer flips landscape pages to portrait.
Papers are the sheets you use to present or export your drawings, and their size and orientation are set separately.
When you change a format, such as A4 to A3, Synaps now carries the paper's current orientation into the new size. This applies whether you’re setting up one paper or several at once.
New
Justified text on the canvas
Text can now be aligned to both the left and right edges of its text box for a polished, professional look.
Justified alignment adjusts spacing within a paragraph so every line aligns with both sides of the text area.
You’ll find the new Justify option alongside other text alignments in the text controls.
Note: For now, justified text appears on the canvas only, PDF and DXF exports still use left alignment.
