Large drawings receive clearer warnings, and undo does less work for individual edits. We also fixed stale block contents and selection of image-based papers.
New
See when a model is approaching its limit
Large models show guidance before editing becomes unsafe.
A drawing's size affects the memory and work required to edit it in a browser.
Synaps now warns when a model becomes very large and suggests removing unused content or moving part of the drawing to a new model. At the critical limit, the model becomes view-only and offers a route to continue in a new model.
Improved
Undo individual edits with less overhead
Undo now records the information needed to reverse an edit directly.
Undo should reverse your last operation without having to reprocess the whole drawing.
The new approach stores the changes needed for each undo step. It also bounds the memory used by undo history, reducing the risk of a large edit history consuming all available memory. Older steps may be discarded when that budget is reached.
Fixed
Removed block structures no longer leave stale objects
Fixed old block contents remaining drawn after their structure changed.
Blocks can contain nested groups and drawing objects. When that structure changes, the canvas needs to refresh the affected children as well as the outer object.
Synaps now includes those descendants when refreshing objects moved out of a deleted block definition. This corrects cases where stale geometry remained visible.
Fixed
Select image-based papers from their visible edges
Fixed papers whose selection area depended on a header you could not see.
An image-based paper is a sheet containing raster content, such as an imported drawing.
These papers now use their visible geometry for selection instead of relying only on a header hit area. A paper with content still avoids taking over clicks intended for the objects inside it.
